We have a true passion for Coffee.
We have been drinking coffee for a pretty long time now, and we were always looking for coffee that tasted real. We lived in Toronto during the second wave of coffee (see here if that doesn’t mean anything to you) and we would make the trip to Jet Fuel or Dark Horse to get our fix. Events conspired such that we ended up with the desire to have our own source for great coffee, the physical space to do that in, and a complete lack of anyone else in the neighborhood willing to do it for us. As with everything else our DIY punk mentality served us well and we didn’t let a little think like lack of money stop us. In December 2006 we opened Grackle Coffee with an espresso machine on a table and a bar fridge with milk in it. And now here we are.
